How to my marriage better without sex?

I just got back together with my back 3 weeks ago. After a 4 month separation. Thing is my husband during our separation we used each other as sex buddies. Now he wants to hold off on sex for awhile. Thing is how do you do that, hold off on sex without coming off desprite
I caused the separation by running off to my family. The way he sees in effect abondoning our family. Now I am back doing my best to prove I am there for the long haul.
